Associate Fiction Editor
Our Associate Fiction Editor will read, edit, and provide feedback on fiction submissions. We need someone with a passion for literature to contribute educated opinions on the fiction submissions (flash fiction and short stories) in our queue. All editors will work closely with the managing editor in developing the fiction section of the Kreative Diadem Issue.
Responsibilities
- Read and comment on fiction submissions and determine suitability for the Kreative Diadem Issue.
- Solicit for new fiction submissions when necessary.
- Report directly to the fiction editor and provide updates/progress reports as necessary.
- Assist fiction editor with additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Access to Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with Submittable (or willingness to learn).
- Internet connectivity & email access
- Familiarity with fictional forms, styles, and techniques.
- Ability to meet editorial deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
A degree in English or past experience with editing is preferred but not required.
Associate Non-Fiction Editor

Responsibilities

Conceptualize visuals based on requirements

Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand

Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic

Work with the Creative Director to produce the final design

Test graphics across various media

Amend designs after feedback

Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand
Requirements

Proven graphic designing experience

A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics

Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, Canva)

Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
-
Collaborate with other teams to ensure brand consistency

Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
