PERVERSION

by Logan February

may be bad or good; must be directed

elsewhere, always pointed elsewhere;

at the reddish sex of cruelty; crushing

an orchid’s softest eye, a gleaming leather boot;

that hard shine like needles under

a man’s picture; shot in his negative color.
