PHARISEES

PHARISEES

PHARISEES

Once upon a time were
Certain men who pored
Over scrolls and much fanfare
To attain the history of the Lord

These were men with intelligence
Who walked the streets head high
Others bowed to look through their lens
Into the promise of the Most High

But the Nazarene came to change history
Challenging all they knew of the Books
He came and told a different story
Of forgiveness and how Heaven looks

Pharisees

Pharisees

So they plotted, planned and maimed
One who held the world in His hands
Using His shield better than they aimed
They set the time for breaking Hell’s bands

So today we thank them for their duty
But yet urge their descendants to take heed
In their anger they put into Earth beauty
Refusing to believe, unknowingly letting God lead

ABRACADABRA

ABRACADABRA

ABRACADABRA
(And that will be for the day)

Buuu bu buu booooo
Blast it off
Pu phu pluuuuu lulu pro
Prophets, pastors
Popo, politicians, gangsters
Rhetorical masters
You are magicians
All of you

Lolo lo lawyers, mayors
Soothsayers
You are just the same
Full of twaddle
Belonging to this name
‘Magicians’
All of you

I’ve heard of your
hocus pocus
In church, streets
Universities
Entertainment or conference centers
Donors..that day at Bingu International
How come the aid comes
With demands so rational?
And them leaders
Voice so mellifluous
But just for the instance
Bringing no transformation

Wow! Abracadabra

Wow! Abracadabra

The supreme Deity
Will flagerrate
The nincompoopery
Out of you
Then your eyes will crop up
And serve as a presage
To the direction you are heading, hades
Or do you need new specs
To vividly foresee
The outcome of hypocrisy?

And to you recidivists
How long will you be
Held by the wrong arm of the Law
Till you bleed to death?
Retire from malfeasance
And come to to to to to light

PIERCING ARROWS

PIERCING ARROWS

Piercing Arrows

These are friends of mine
I don’t go in
I go out
Out of their private lives
Out of their selfish desires

This one is Christina
A journalist
She is gem
A lady of class
She is very religious
Don’t mind what you heard
Between her and the pastor
Of Rutherene Church down the road
They just like each other
But question the finance minister
Who comes to her place on Saturday nights

Selfish thoughts

Selfish thoughts

Oh! Meet Julian
A Shopkeeper at Wulian
Remember that suit mommy wore
At my Graduation
She bought it from there at discount
Everyone thinks she is heaven sent
And I must not lose her
But one day I will
For real
Imagine, she insists we go clubbing on friday nights
Get intoxicated by those disco lights
Then what??? What?? Tell me

Yes! You’ve seen her before
She is so cute, is she not?
That’s Talia
redoing her M.S.C.E
They told her it’s the  only way
she can make it to the bar
No no no no…as in BAR
Nothing great is easy you know
She just have to cut down on pills
And abortions
They will escort her to the grave
as young as she is

Ehem! And Triza as well
She is still in college
Working hard to become
What she is becoming
I love her the most
Still got to deal with her rage
It sucks at times
And not good for her profession

It is all mine!

It is all mine!

These are friends of mine
I don’t go in
I go out
Out of their private lives
Out of their selfish desires

(By me, The God Centered Poet)
