SOMETHING ABOUT NATURE

The bright light shines, everyday,

A dynamic touch with blossoming appeal,

Nature has never ceased to mirror her existence,

There is always something to say about her beauty.

Life may be unkind, life may be wobbly,

Nature still is a beautiful gift to human,

Nature says to us,

Dwell in full existence and explore to extreme.

The plants smile happily in their green attire,

The trees house the birds,

The seas clap and dance to everyday waves,

The sky illuminates and puts the face of nature to sleep.

Nature elucidates the Creator’s existence,

Nature’s breath is life to all,

Nature’s beauty is peace for all,

Nature is bold with reflection and fascination.

If only humanity can be kind,

If only we could stop being busy,

To learn from nature’s tale,

Life would be much easier.

MY MOTHER – MY STRENGTH by Aremu Abiodun

MY MOTHER – MY STRENGTH by Aremu Abiodun

MY MOTHER – MY STRENGTH
Mother, my strength as a child,
My angel of guide through reality,
My comfort in the cruel world,
She is my mother, my teacher of love.

Her heart has no bars,
Her ways mentor me on confidence,
Her choices mentor me of boldness,
She is my mother, my teacher of knowledge.

Mummy scolds to teach me,
Mummy don’t spare me when I’m wrong,
Mummy has guided me through childhood,
She is my mother, my teacher of sense.

She wipes my tears,
She stays awake so I can sleep,
She face her fears so I can live,
She is my mother, my teacher of strength.

She tells me about God,
She has always shown me the right path,
She brings my heart close to God,
She is my mother, my teacher of the gospel.

You celebrate my success,
You hurt when I’m wounded,
and when life bring time of strife,
You are my mother, my teacher of hope.

Your love is of no bound,
You give my weaknesses life,
You tolerate my childishness,
You are my mother, my teacher of care.

She grows more beautiful,
Even when life almost breaks her,
She smile everyday so I won’t be worried,
She’s an icon, she’s my joy.

OF A BROKEN HOME, IT IS

OF A BROKEN HOME, IT IS

OF A BROKEN HOME, IT IS!

Of a broken home, it is

that happiness has absconded

that love, once were

that love, never is again

that what fascinates the heart become strange.

Faces become strangers and the heart becomes helpless.

Of a broken home, it is

that a child wakes up with pain in the heart

that there is a chattered dream

that there is divided love shown to him

Waking up to the call of life

He is reminded of the lost bond.

Broken Home!

Broken Home!

It is a burden in the heart,

As a child he wonders,

It was sweet from the start,

there was magic in every moment

and the stories of the heart melted.

Was it of lost or not properly made decision?

There had been a song

A song that a besotted lover has come to the door

The creation of union and later despair

Happily, the wheel of a new family is taken,

Couples filled with heartfelt joy, promises and oaths

There were promises that there will be devotion

A longing desire to be together

But time past, days have been and there’s lost in passion

What a turn the story has taken

What a change in dare need

What a hole in the heart the once delighted union has brought

Of a broken home, it is

that as a child he is left to face the world alone

that as a child, he feels not, the love of having parents

that choices are hard but made alone

that as a child he asks if there is need for marriage in the first place.
